I first made this maple bourbon whipped cream for Friendsgiving and it was a total hit!  Everyone loved it with the pie of their choice.  This would even be great with some hot chocolate on a cold winter night too.

What You’ll Need

  • Heavy Whipping Cream (organic)
  • Bourbon
  • Maple Syrup
  • Cinnamon

How to Make Maple Bourbon Whipped Cream

This is the easiest thing you will ever make and all of your guests will love it.  This is NOT kid friendly because the bourbon isn’t cooked out so make the whipped cream (instructions below) and before you add in the bourbon, set aside a little for the kiddos.

I like to put a big bowl in the freezer for several minutes.  Your cream will whip a lot quicker that way but this isn’t a necessary step.

Add 1 cup heavy whipped cream to a cold bowl.  Start your hand mixer on a slow setting at first or you’ll have cream all over the kitchen and you.  Ha!

As the cream starts to stiffen, increase the speed on your hand mixer.  Blend on high for a few minutes until you get soft stiff peaks.  Don’t blend too much longer or you will wind up with butter.

After you reach the stiff peaks, add in the maple syrup and cinnamon.  Mix again to incorporate and set aside a few dollops for the kids.  Then, add in a splash (or two) of bourbon.  Blend again on high until well incorporated.

You can serve immediately or put in the fridge until you serve dessert.
